In dedication to the memory of Jeanette Lee Jones a remarkable Mentor and Pillar, she was born in Sybene, Ohio and resided in Elyria for 70 plus years. She was married to James A. Jones Sr. for 50 years. She was employed with the Elyria Head Start Program for over 30 years. She provided nurturing/guidance and support to many and left an edible mark on the community! Jeanette was a proud Mother of 7 and a devoted Military Mom who supported 3 children who served in the US. Navy!

A Beacon of Hope: Veteran Men’s Mental Wellness
24/7 Staff Support, Veteran Men’s Treatment Facility, 30-90 day stays. Jeanette’s Sanctuary offers a structured and supportive environment for Veteran men in Lorain County seeking mental wellness. We provide 24/7 staff support, residential stays from 30-90 days, and on-site therapy. Case management provided by Lorain County Veterans Services Office. Our evidence based model allows for a step up in level of care or a step-down in level of care based on individual needs.
Our Mission: Jeanette’s Sanctuary Foundation is a short-term mental health residential facility which provides a beacon of support for Veteran men in Lorain County, Ohio. Our focus is on providing evidence-based mental health psychoeducation, case management, short-term housing, food, and personal care services. We aim to support clients in their ability to demonstrate improved coping skills which will assist the client with building resilience along with fostering self-determination and control.

Therapy Sessions
Our therapy sessions utilize motivational interviewing, are trauma informed and evidence-based. Our licensed behavioral health staff provide assessments, individual treatment plan, individual counseling and when needed crisis intervention.
Mental Health Groups
Our professionally facilitated mental health groups connect individuals facing similar challenges. Through evidence-based psychoeducation, we foster understanding, improve coping and decision-making skills, enhance self-awareness, and strengthen relationships.
Rehabilitation Program
Our rehabilitation program supports male Veterans recovering from mental health issues including dual diagnosis by providing comprehensive care, case management, and resources for their recovery journey.
Personal Care Services
Our professional staff provides personalized daily living assistance, including support with activities of daily living and personal hygiene. We offer engaging social activities and provide three daily meals with two snacks.
